HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

It's FLASH BACK FRIDAY!! Today we'll dig up an old post from our blog's archives to share with you again! There's some good stuff in there. Today it's our Taking the SCREAM out of Halloween post from October 27, 2010. Check it out!

I know that many find enjoyment in being scared. Haunted hayrides through deserted corn mazes are a well attended activity leading up to Halloween. The scariest movies of all time are played for 31 days straight. Marathons are had and people revel in the shrieks and thrills of being scared witless.

However, I for one, am not a fan of scary movies. I've never seen any of the bazillion "Saws". (How many do they have now? 6?) I avoid these creeper films like my life depends on it. I'm the 25-year-old sitting through the previews of an R-rated movie curled up in a ball with my face buried in my husband's arm when scary movies are advertised; eyes closed, ears covered, humming to myself in order not to witness any part of it. It's a little ridiculous, I know. I don't attest to being the 'coolest kid' out there. The reason I can't stand these things is because sometimes I have terrible nightmares (and an imaginative mind), and would rather not have these horrific scenes played out later in my subconscious dreams. So I try to avoid them at all costs. (But, if you are into the scary/gory stuff and have enjoyed Hannibal, our plate is used in the first movie's almost last scene where Hannibal Lecter feeds Paul his own brain. TOTALLY GROSS.)

With that said, I've compiled a list of my top 7 favorite not TOO scary Halloween movies (in no particular order).
