"How can one help shivering with delight when one's hot fingers close around the stem of a live flower, cool from the shade and stiff with newborn vigor!" - Colette
Spring is in the air! (Or at least it has felt that way the past few days.) Mother nature is toying with us here in NJ. All of a sudden it's beautiful, sunny, and warm, and then the next morning it's below freezing with 40 mph gusts of wind. Thank goodness for magazines like Victoria Magazine that show us pictures of spring inspired tablescapes. The longing for nice weather begins.
To help you get inspired, look for our new Cornflower Lace Butterfly dessert plates in the March/April's "Favorite Things" section.
"Fresh-from-the-garden roses provide the inspiration for this splendid outdoor table, opposite and above left. Bright pink "Market Street" dinner plates from Kate Spade are paired with Mottahedeh's exquisite lavender banded "Lace" butterfly dessert plate in Cornflower for an eye-catching color combination." (pg. 17)
(We carry a similar color dinner plate by Robert Haviland & C. Parlon in Arc en Ciel Fuschia if you like this color combination.)
And on page 20 you will find our Plum Lace Chargers.
'"Lace" service plates in Plum from Mottahedeh are paired with flower-embellished 'Windsor Garden' dinner plates, cups, and saucers from Herend."
