Rule #4: Do not lick ANYTHING

Sure, it's tempting to lick your knife, your fingers, or even your plate when the food is just that good - but save yourself the embarrassment and the lacerated tongue by holding fast to the "No Lick Rule". Even if you have finger food, resist the urge to suck the left-over BBQ off of your digits and instead use your napkin. If you are given a small bowl of water, it's not for drinking, instead this is for the purpose of cleaning your fingers without the use of your dog tongue. Keep it polite, no one wants to see your taste buds.
