"On Mother's Day I have written a poem for you. In the interest of poetic economy and truth, I have succeeded in concentrating my deepest feelings and beliefs into two perfectly crafted lines: You're my mother, I would have no other!"

~Forest Houtenschil

Mother's Day is only 2 weeks away. Rather than just sending Mom flowers, why not give her a keepsake that won't perish in a week. Flowers are beautiful, but so is our porcelain! Pair them up to make the perfect mother's day gift that she'll be sure to enjoy.

Generally we recommend filling this covered sugar with the sweet stuff, but it also happens to make a pretty cute tiny daffodil planter. You can buy the small flowers in most supermarkets around this time of year, or find them at a local garden shop. It's simple, easy, and quick to assemble. Daffodils are perennials so they have the potential to bloom year after year if planted in the ground, but if your mother doesn't want to wait, she can replace the flower with another one, or use her covered sugar for its intended purpose.
