This magnificent large punch bowl was adapted from a Chinese high fire blue bowl, circa 1797, at Cliveden, a property of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, near Philadelphia. The design is faithful to the original. Bowls of this type, in porcelain or silver, were considered essential to a household to entertain in a gracious manner. Display our Phalaenopsis white orchids for a dramatic effect.
