Avian by Historic Charleston

The Avian china pattern was adapted from an example of 19th century hand painted Chinese wallpaper at Dean Hall plantation, c. 1752, near Charleston. Featuring white egrets, waterfowl, pheasants and gamecocks, the pattern evokes the natural habitat and sporting traditions of the Carolina Low Country.
